The technology
“The core element of an Amina flat panel loudspeaker comprises a specialist lightweight, yet very strong composite panel material, which vibrates in the same way as the bodies of natural musical instruments (for example the acoustic guitar, violin or piano). These vibrations recreate a diffuse source of sound energy which is emitted in a far less directional manner and one capable of filling a space far more evenly than a conventional loudspeaker. This diffuse source creates a high definition sound field over a very wide area ensuring that surround sound or a stereo sound field is heard whatever the room, and wherever the listening position.”
Perfect for commercial and professional audio applications
• Ultra-wide dispersion – Positioning of the sound panel is not critical compared with conventional piston loudspeakers, high frequencies are not lost when off axis
• Discreet – Satisfy architects as well as audio technicians, the sound panel can blend into its surroundings with ease
• Efficient – Vibrational flat panels generate a complex energy wave rather than a phase oriented wave which would evolve from a conventional speaker. Subsequent boundary reflections are principally additive, so SPL roll off with distance (in a bounded space) is closer to 3dB rather than the usual 6dB
• Natural sounding – Amina panels generate sound in the same natural manner as an acoustic instrument like a violin or guitar, therefore are easy to listen to
• Easy to install – Fewer sound panels are required to cover an area so reducing installation time and costs. Lightweight technology means lighter weight fixings.
